The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the construction or renovation of healthcare projects and the installation of equipment is performed properly, within budget/schedule while following all applicable government guidelines/regulations.
- Create the scope of work and the project plan including the estimated cost (labour, material, and equipment) and the time schedule. Perform value engineering to optimise project costs.
- Evaluate bid proposals while staying within the budgetary guidelines
- Oversee, track, and document all aspects of assigned projects especially the quality of work performed by the outside contractors.
- Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Ensure that all contractor and subcontractor personnel are knowledgeable and familiar with the healthcare construction requirements.
- Ensure that the project finishes within budget/schedule. Manage any cost and time overruns.
- Coordinate with various departments including Procurement, IT, Medical equipment, Facilities, Security and Finance to ensure timely completion of the projects.
